The Tuesday Collective: 6.25.2024

~Happy Tuesday! Guess what? SIX MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!! I know, I know, it’s still June, but I’m a little bit {read: lotta bit} of a Christmas fanatic - it’s around now where I start making and organizing shopping lists, come up with some tradition ideas and think of where allllllllll of our decorations will go. My house literally transforms for Christmas and it starts November 1st here (no shame). BUT enough about Christmas; here’s the latest for today’s Tuesday Collective!~

Heat Wave!

Last week we had a HEAT WAVE here! And Wednesday was the anniversary of Juneteenth. While we spent some time reflecting on the true meaning of the day, we also spent the 100 degree day in our pool with some friends! Jackson also started getting the hang of swimming on his own!

TBR

I’m about half-way through Swan Song but this is next on my TBR! Part of my Mother’s Day Barnes & Nobel haul of beachy-mystery reads and I cannot wait to start!

Taco Sunday

Taco Tuesday turned into Taco Sunday! Yesterday’s dinner was homemade crockpot carnitas with cilantro-lime rice on the side. So easy and even more delicious. Full recipe for both coming soon! 👀

Beach Day!

Tomorrow the temps here go back into the 80’s, so Jackson and I are looking forward to a day at the beach with some friends! Sand toys, a picnic lunch and some sunshine will do us some good.

Working Towards Being More Mindful

Ever feel like your phone and social media can consume you? Because same. Recently, I’ve decided to cut back on phone use, and pay closer attention to the content I’m consuming. This plays a large part in mental health, I feel, and with that being such a big topic I’m focusing on in my own life, I thought it was time to make this change. Starting with a few hours in the afternoon of no screens! Update coming next week!
