Holy Moly we’re almost to August! Here’s what we’ve been up to this past week.

Landscaping

It’s been a busy time in the yard at the Mack home! Back in early spring, this area had two large, dead cherry trees. And with our luck of trees falling, we had to jump into action and cut them down. We decided to keep the stumps, add some wood chips and made a bird/gnome village! If you’re new here, I LOVE gnomes (I’m Scandinavian; what can I say?) So solar gnomes with some solar lights were the perfect touch to this little space. We had to add another bird feeder because it was so popular!

Include Your Kids in the Kitchen

I used to not be the biggest fan of Jackson “helping” - I hate mess! However, I’ve come to learn that the mess is their childhood. My kitchen will be clean again someday, but for now, this time is fleeting. I love being able to share recipes, make memories and spend this special time together.

The Chickens are Coming!

That’s right: next Spring, a few chickens are joining the Mack family! Since we made the decision, I have turned into a crazy chicken lady. I have books, a Pinterest board and an Amazon list for both chicken needs and chicken lady gear. So if anyone needs Christmas present ideas for me, there you go.

23 Weeks In

23 weeks in; month 6. Only 3 to go until our second little man arrives! Baby shower plans are in full swing (have I mentioned I’m a planner??) and the nursery is (slowly) coming along, too. With a new baby comes a new theme; this time, woodland. I’ve been slowly adding in some new decor and my Amazon registry is also loaded; it’s just too cute!
