Woah - we’re into the last week of August; fall and the holidays are right around the corner. Where does the time go??? Here’s what we’ve been up to the past few weeks!

This Episode of Bluey is Called: Jackson

When we found out this Bluey event was happening, we HAD to go! Our Bluey loving guy had himself a TIME playing in Bluey’s house and even meeting her & her sister, Bingo! (Jackson was STUNNED, hence his face in the photo 😂); absolutely worth the day trip!

A Day at the Zoo

Our tiger loving guy also had a trip to the zoo this past weekend! York’s Wild Kingdom in York, ME is a small zoo, but it’s perfect for the kiddos. Still plenty to see and do, with an amusement park attached to the zoo! Jackson wasn’t quite ready for the rides, but he was ready to say hi to the tiger and feed the goats and deer!

In My ‘Homesteading’ Era

This lovely French loaf is one of the many things I’m learning to master as I embark on a little Homesteading journey! As we prepare for chickens next Spring, I’ve also been reading up on gardening - outdoors, indoors & hydroponic, bread making, soap making and canning. My plan is to have all of these skills down before our chickens arrive and I cannot wait to take you all along on this journey with me!

(See more as-I-go updates on Instagram and more detailed posts will be on the blog, too!)

Summer Soiree

I hosted a ladies night recently with small bites, mocktails and bouquet making and what a wonderful night it was! On the menu were chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salad, caprese salad, charcuterie and for dessert mini-eclairs and cream puffs. Flowers included sunflowers, baby’s breath, Gerber daisy’s and more! Full blog post coming soon!
